Drinking alcohol present in almost every episode, with the main characters being depicted as drunk more than once. Heavy use of alcoholic beverages is presented as a normal part of society.

One character repeatedly tries to smoke but is regularly stopped by another. Eventually resorts to nicotine gum. This might be considered as anti-smoking rather than promoting it.
