Smogtown

Based on a true story: When an immigrant biochemist discovers that cars are the source of the smog strangling LA in the postwar 1950s, he's labeled a heretic and can only partner with a lowly pollution enforcement official and two controversial grassroots activists-- who together, spend 20 years fighting the Goliath of Big Auto and Big Oil to win California's ability to legislate its own emission standards; breaking the dawn of the worldwide environmental movement.
