Aleksey Bazhenov is an experienced and respected surgeon, dedicated to his work. One day, his rare day off, he meets Alia. The girl is in a wheelchair; nevertheless, this does not prevent her from enjoying life. Aleksey gets head over heels in love with her, without recognizing in her a girl he had misoperated 10 years ago. Alia recalls the surgeon who had crippled her at first glance.
