Jasemin's ancestry is predominantly East Asian and Native American with a minority South East Asian lineage. Born in the picturesque valley of Ipoh, Malaysia, she grew up in the midst of lush tropical rain forests and near the azure Malacca Strait. She is a performing artisan, author, indie & smartphone filmmaker and wants to be an actress!
Jasemin has published three novellas since 2014 ranging from short stories, dramatic novel and the most recent Henna: The Dancer from Cambodia written in the form of a poetic novella. Her raw talent as a creator has been endorsed in the Asia Pacific region including Australian Society for Authors, Confucius Institute at La Trobe University (Melbourne), Perak Academy (Malaysia), China Daily.com.cn and China Culture Organization (China). In October 2016, Jasemin graduated with a CGPA 4 at the prestigious New York Film Academy in filmmaking.
She is the creator of Le Grand Central (English fantasy short film) and Exotic Pearls (Chinese/English artistic documentary). Jasemin constantly seeks out passionate-minded creators and artists to collaborate together. A significant sum of her creative works' proceeds will go towards supporting charitable causes including marginalized communities and female workers at high risk.
