K.C. Fitzgerald

Biography

K.C. Fitzgerald was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Inspired by seeing George Lucas's "Star Wars" when he was six years old, K.C. decided to become a writer-director. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz in 2010, he returned to Los Angeles, where he spent time studying film production as a PA on everything from independent feature films to studio blockbusters. During this period, K.C. wrote five feature screenplays and started work on a novel, which he then moved to Washington, D.C. to complete in the summer of 2013. Returning to California with a completed novel, K.C. moved to Santa Cruz, where he helped start an independent production company, Element Productions. K.C.'s films have screened at the Santa Cruz Film Festival and the LA Music Video Film Festival. He considered himself a visionary director, with the goal of creating a "New American cinema" using the technique of "cinematic immersion" to give audiences and emotional experience with the screen.
