Victor Nascimento is a Master in Fine Arts with a degree in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute. He was born in Salvador-Brazil where he graduated in Communications and worked at TV Unifacs as a writer. He also earned a diploma as a film director at the Academia Internacional de Cinema of São Paulo and founded the independent producing company Maria João Filmes. His first film, Irene, has won 13 awards in national and international festivals, including Best Student Film at the LGBT International Festival of Barcelona and Best New Director at Entretodos Human Rights Film Festival. Victor also wrote and directed his first feature film, the documentary The Sailor's Anchor, which has made an incredible career in Brazil. His future projects include two short films in post-production and the development of two features.
