Tim Song Jones

A Los Angeles based boom operator and utility sound technician since 1995. Born in Tennessee, raised and educated in San Diego. Started playing violin and piano at age 9, and guitar at age 13. Attended University of Calif. at San Diego and received a B.A. in Music Composition and Technology in 1981. Worked in music recording studios in the San Francisco area as an assistant engineer for 5 years. Worked in various summer stock theatre productions as a sound designer and mixer in Salinas California. Played a few synthesizer parts on the last two albums by The Dead Kennedys. Moved to Los Angeles in 1988 and worked in feature film post production for 7 years (dailies transfers for When Harry Met Sally..., City Slickers I & II, A Few Good Men, Stargate, The American President and about 80 others). Released a CD of original electronic music called The Plural Of Hear in 1994. Married in 1995. One child born in 1997.
