Daniel Coll - Actor Director Presenter
Daniel Coll is a dynamic British performer and filmmaker with over four decades of experience in television, theatre, film, and documentary. Known for his depth, versatility, and distinctive presence, Daniel has played everything from commanding detectives to heartfelt fathers on stage and screen. He is equally at home delivering powerful drama as he is fronting engaging travel and factual series.
Daniel's screen work includes DI Frank Blackmore in Emmerdale, and appearances in Braveheart, The Crown, Bullseye, Waterloo Road, Coronation Street, and EastEnders. His stage career spans West End musicals like Billy Elliot as one of the first dads alongside Tim Healy (original London production) and the national tour of Les Misérables, where he played Enjolras. He also toured the U.S. with Oliver! and starred as Dame in classic pantomimes at Leeds City Varieties and beyond.
As a presenter, Daniel brings warmth, wit, and curiosity to travel and lifestyle shows, including Are We There Yet? Ireland and Dan's Travels with Paddy Doherty, with broadcast deals in the UK and internationally. He is equally skilled behind the camera, directing award-winning films and hard-hitting documentaries, including collaborations with journalist John Sweeney and work focused on Ukraine.
Daniel trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and holds a Master's degree in Filmmaking from Sheffield Hallam University.
