Biography

A member of the prestigious Italian Society of Cinematographers, AIC, and the European Federation of Cinematographers IMAGO, Marco Cappetta is an award-winning cinematographer who has has created images for over twenty years. His work has received outstanding reviews in Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Washington Times and other entertainment media. His films have been released by The Weinstein Company, New Line Cinema, Anchor Bay, Lionsgate and have aired on Showtime, HBO, PBS and The SyFy Channel. Marco has won two Best Cinematography Awards for his 2011 movie "Bereavement" and received Best Cinematography Award nominations for his work on "Smoke Filled Lungs" (2015) and "Duke" (2016). His films have been showcased at many international festivals and have screened at prestigious venues like the Academy of Motion Pictures Theater in Beverly Hills, Hollywood's Cinerama Dome and the Egyptian Theater. Over the years, Marco has lensed iconic figures like William Shatner, Christoper Lloyd, country legend Willie Nelson and screen-veterans like Kevin Smith, Damon Wayans, Billy Zane, Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones, Peter Bogdanovich, and John Savage. He has shot in 35mm spherical & anamorphic, 16mm, 4K, 5K and 6K anamorphic.
