Shanna Roberts-Salée

Shanna Roberts Salée works as an Assistant Director in film and television productions. She graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor's Degree in 2009, where she majored in Communication Studies. Her first documentary Over The Top (2009) was co-produced by the NFB and CBC within the DOC SHOP initiative for emerging filmmakers. Two more of her projects during the course of her studies were screened at the Montreal World Festival in 2009, Big Boys, Shorts Shorts and Baby Oil & Cognac. In 2015, she published her first novel, The Lying Juilliards, through independent press Thought Catalog Books, and she launched the first season of web series Mistakes Were Made, which has made rounds in the festival circuit, collecting wins with the L.A. Independent Film Review, The IndieFEST Film Awards and the International Independent Film Awards. The second season of Mistakes Were was released in the spring of 2017.
