Biography

Fergal is an award winning playwright for his works including; A Dragon's Tale (Eamon Keane Award 2013), Folie-a-Deux (Listowel 2015) and Extremophiles (Eamon Keane Award 2018, Papatango Longlist 2018 and NEWvember Festival 2017). Extremophiles will be followed by the second play of his Location Trilogy when That Theatre Company presents Rub-a-dub-dub in early 2021, and the third play, Martian Toothache, in Spring 2021. Work on movie includes The Spectator (co-written with the late Liam O'Neill) and a feature movie Exo with OSCAR winning writer/director Laurits Munch-Petersen. Season 1 of his sitcom Hipsterverse is being aired on PCEN across North America and TikTok globally. Fergal's novel, Trolley Ride in Manhattan (Mentor Books, 2000) has become a cult classic. Short story success includes, Silvercup, Shortlisted - Colm Tóibin International Short Story Award and Ribeye - Longlisted, Alpine Fellowship 2020.
