He was born in 1991 in Istanbul. In 2010, he got into the university at Department of Radio, TV and Cinema at Ege University, Faculty of Communication. In 2013, he shot the short film "Whitewash" with his screenplay, which won the 10th Türsak Future Cinema Script Competition. The film was screened in many national and international festivals and received awards. He started his master's degree at Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Institute Film Design Department in 2014 and graduated in 2016. In the same year, he started his doctorate in this department. In 2019, with the support of the Ministry of Culture General Directorate of Cinema and the production of Kadraj Production, he wrote and directed the short film "Infinite Time", the documentary film "Multiple Choice" produced by Ali Özgür Production, and "Eleji: Efeler" within the scope of the Efeler Municipality Environment and Geothermal Short Film Workshop in the same year. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Institute Film Design Department in 2021 with his thesis on the relationship between cinema and philosophy and received his doctorate. Emre Dogan, who started to work as a faculty member in the Radio, TV and Cinema department of Istanbul Gelisim University in 2021, publishes scientific articles, cinematic articles and translations, continues his film studies and organizes workshops.
