Someone From Syria (2018)

Ali, a young man from North Africa, have lost all his family members in the civil war, and his little sister was adopted back to Paris when she was in in her childhood. With some kind of disappointment to his motherland, and the hope to search for his little sister, Ali went to the Paris, roving around the abandoned house in the suburbs of Paris, where he falsely represented himself as a Syrian for get more help from others (French policy on Syrian refugees), and at the same time, he was willing to work for the local gangs in order to get survive. By chance, Ali met a French girl named Alice who lost her pet dog. After following the tracks of Alice's life for a period of time, Ali fell in love with her, who as well, helped Ali in pity of his suffering. Then, Ali no longer wanted to continue his work for the gang, and he finally broke completely with them. Eventually, Ali got back Alice's dog and at the same time, to help Ali, Alice found a real Syrian, who, however, expose Ali's real identity. Helplessness, Ali was about to set foot on his new journey to find himself again.
