Sarah, a writer in her late twenties, suffers from bipolar disorder. Her sickness affects her daily life routine as she has to take pills daily in order to keep herself stable. Sarah is trying to finish writing a novel that her father started years ago and get it published. After the novel gets rejected for the first time from the publishing house she goes back to her office at home where she begins rewriting the novel. She spends hours and days rewriting, but nevertheless the novel gets rejected again. However, Sarah doesn't seem to give up and starts rewriting over and over again. While getting too busy with the novel, Sarah forgets to take her pills one day. As a result, she starts seeing hallucinations and loses touch with reality as she sees the characters from the novel come to life. The characters start suggesting changes to the novel and Sarah rewrites accordingly. The characters from the novel along with Sarah try to finish the story together. Disturbed by the sound of an alarm clock, Sarah comes back to reality. She takes out the version of the novel that was first rejected, and for the first time, with the papers in her hand, she opens the door to another room in the house.
