Mast Kalandar (2018)

Ravi, a happy-go-lucky guy, narrates his life story from his childhood days in the opening scene as to how he was brought up by his father after the demise of his mother, all the way when he fell in love with college going middle-class girl Shashi, who is a huge fan of Crazy Star Ravichandaran. Ravi tries to win Shashi's heart by using every trick in the book. A sensible girl, Shashi doesn't accept Ravi's proposal, as she wants to test his loyalty. After catching up with Ravi on few occasions, Shashi gets to know about Ravi's virtues which makes her to accept his proposal. Ravi then helps Shashi's family tide through a financial crunch with his friends aid, without their knowledge. He even takes up a job as a security guard on the insistence of his lady love. In the second half, Ravi quits the job to earn high income. He struggles to find a right job and make a respectable living. The story gets some life after Shashi's mother rejects her love as she wants her daughter to marry a doctor for a bright future. Shashi ultimately breaks away from the relationship. Will Ravi emerge stronger in his life after all the disappointments he had?
