This high adventure film captures the beauty and excitement of Africa with spectacular displays of wildlife and tense, intriguing action. Ronald E. Shanin, aerospace engineer turned animal collector and filmmaker, set out to make a film of high adventure different from all others. To do this, he deliberately stalked dangerous animals and reptiles in the bush. Using a one-man sentry box, he was able to approach big game to within a few yards for close-up photography. "Touch the Sky" covers 1,000,000 square miles of Eastern and Central Africa and took five years to film. It was space well traveled and time well spent. An experience not to be missed.
