Going Places with Lowell Thomas No. 60 (1938)

Lowell Thomas visits the former head-hunters among the Malay natives on the west coast of Sumatra and learns they now only do so via dance ritual that does not cost anyone the loss of their head, and also learns these Nias Iland people have a caste system made up of five classes; Chieg, Magicia, Noble, Commoner and Slave. Mr. Thomas next visits a factor in Clinton, Mass. that makes baby-dolls out of dough, using a wood-pulp--and-starch process.
