Anna & Kristina: Cooked (2014)

It's time for a change. Chefs have always told Anna & Kristina that there's only so much you can learn by following a cookbook. To really wrap your head around food, you've got to dive into the culture that created it. After more than a decade of testing products and recipes, Anna & Kristina are leaving the comfort of their gourmet kitchen behind as they head to Oaxaca, Mexico to explore the culture and learn about local food from the locals. To pay their way, they'll be throwing a huge party, with just 7 days to prepare an authentic festive meal for a young girl as she celebrates her coming of age. No more fancy appliances, no more step-by-step recipes and no more make up artists. Perilous roads, backbreaking labour, a thousand fresh tortillas and a grumpy old guy are just some of the things Anna & Kristina have to take on as they hit the road and put themselves and their friendship to the test.
