Civil Alliance, Palestine, 47-48 (2012)

Arabs and Jews gather around a map of Mandatory Palestine to report a civil race against the clock which took place in Palestine until the founding of the State of Israel in May 1948. The group reconstructs the urgent encounters which took place between Jewish and Arab communities throughout the country, where participants raised demands, sought compromises, set rules, asked for forgiveness, attempted to reconcile and compensate, and did everything possible to prevent the violence in the area from taking over their lives. The film, based on historical and visual research, reconstructs this historical past as a valuable potential for the future.
