The Hours Went by Like a Winter (2013)

An elderly couple living in a harbour village in north Scotland find it more and more emotionally distressing to be apart when the wife has to go into hospital for an extended period as a result of advanced dementia. A poignant and poetic film about love, life, and the inevitability of death, while also being an ode to a love affair with the sea.
