Four years after a pandemic, a young man (Lamb), launches a courageous bid to rescue a former lover (Howard) from the perils of the Red Zone. Shifting back and forth in time between them falling in and out of love, and the present day situation, Animals explores the ways our ethics and morals quickly fall to the wayside in times of chaos and war.
