At a Loose End? (1989)

A man walking down a city street finds a rope lying on the ground and decides to follow it. It leads him over rooftops and through apartment windows. It leads him out of the city, over hills, across oceans, through jungles and war zones. He passes though the lives of people in all these places following the rope where ever it leads.
