The film features a poetic-scientific dialog about evolution, survival and their crossroads. Voices and narrative threads become tangible in three settings: an aquarium, a field of volcanic rock and a natural history museum. Real and at the same time metaphorical spaces where the presence of a group of children confers to the composition a disquieting perspective, in counterpoint with the three leading characters (a biologist, a woman, the author) and with a series of written texts entangled like yet another thread that wraps up the whole work. The conjunction of a performance and vaguely dream alike dimension of spaces, characters and voices generates an atmosphere of involuntary fiction in which poetic and scientific discourse intermingle in a landscape of multilayered resonances.
