The Lebanese have been living and successfully doing business in Ghana and Senegal for three generations. With the recent arrival of Chinese business owners and shopkeepers in the region, however, it appears that the Lebanese position as an economic elite is under threat. What is the role of West Africans within this displacement, as the economic power in their countries shifts from one non-African minority to another?
