Double Play Companion DVD (2010)

This feature-length documentary is the companion DVD for the book by Mike Weiss "Double Play: The Hidden Passions Behind the Double Assassination of George Moscone and Harvey Milk". First is an interview of Milk and Moscone's assassin Dan White by San Francisco Chronicle reporter Jerry Burns. Second is an interview by Burns of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone. Then the police tape of Officer Jim Molinari phoning police headquarters after Mayor Moscone was shot, and Inspector Gary Wommack phoning Central Emergency Hospital for an ambulance after the shooting. This is followed by San Francisco Police Department dispatch recordings of the police responding to the Moscone and Milk murders and hunting for the killer. Next, Mike Weiss interviews Dianne Feinstein about finding Harvey Milk's body. Finally, Weiss introduces the recording of Dan White confessing to the murders to Inspectors Frank Falzon and Eddie Erdeltaz. The end credits are accompanied by 11 rare photographs.
