Lost Cities: Jersey City (2009)

Lost Cities is an adventure tourism series that explores lesser known cities in the United States. The show follows the host, Nate Starkey, in a different city each episode. Nate examines the sights, sounds, and culture that each city has to offer. The series is an effective guide revealing an authentic look at each destination. It's also completely made up. Nate always ends up in awkward situations where many terrible, unappealing facts about the city are revealed. In the pilot, Nate takes us to Jersey City, New Jersey. There he meets a local sculptor who is insane and racist, eats at a laser tag Italian restaurant, interviews a tech-savvy tattoo artist, and takes a tour of the local snow globe factory, all while learning about how Jersey City is slowly burning to the ground.
