What Happened? (2008)

What Happened? is all about catching up on lost time. Tom and Justin are two friends who have not seen each other in a while and they decide to get together to hang out on a cold winter night in Greensboro, North Carolina. From there bizarre stories begin to surface. The two friends spend the course of five hours catching up on odd happenings. They take time to reflect on the homeless, public urination, scene kids, non-smoking hotel rooms, and barroom beef. Tom and Justin entertain themselves by partaking in an impromptu jam session, using mind-altering drugs, and inspecting deadly weapons. What Happened? was shot on location in the Westerwood Neighborhood of Greensboro, North Carolina. It was done as a final narrative project for an introduction to video production class taught by Wynn Padula at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. What Happened? features performances by local untrained actors Tom Burke and Justin Lee. In addition, it also features a cameo by Heather Meek who had the leading role in the winning film, JoBeth, at the 2007 48 Hour Film Project in Greensboro.
