This film profiles the exploits of the heroes of Tulare, California, including two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Bob Mathias. It also focuses on the B-17 monument "Preston's Pride," which is dedicated to Gen. Maurice Preston, a Tulare native who became a Four-Star General, and to the 379th Bomber Group, who in 1945, won the "Grand Slam Award," for its outstanding achievements in WW2. Many local WW2 Veterans are interviewed, as well as Bob Mathias.
