A woman has a child out of wedlock which destroys all the hopes that her father had pinned on her. Lacking a source of income after being thrown out of her parents house, she becomes the mistress of a foreigner and takes in sewing. Eventually, she earns enough money to make a more stable life for herself but, somehow, her life fails to improve
