Near (2000)

Yuichi is left sitting alone in his apartment after being dumped for another man by his girlfriend, Naomi. That night, he hears noises coming from the apartment next door that sound like someone being tortured and killed. When he hears Naomi's voice screaming for help, he rushes next door and bursts in, only to find an empty apartment. Is he imagining the whole thing?
