Maggie May (1991)

Set in New Orleans, Maggie May is the story of a young man who returns to his hometown when he feels called by the memory of a haunting woman. He is pushed to dangerous limits when his misplaced hostility towards his absent mother becomes focused upon a local transgender woman.
