Sur le plancher des vaches (1939)

Jean ,a bashful office clerk ,writes poetry during his working hours ,much to his boss's displeasure who always rebukes him,sneers at him and humiliates him.One fine day,he wins on a lottery : a plane,a gift he could do without.His friend urges him to take his pilot's license .He falls for an attractive female pilot ,Jeanne ,whose nickname is "death's daughter".He decorates his room with pictures of his idol.She's so daring that she wants to fly across the Mediterranean .Unfortunately ,her plane seems to have vanished into thin air and Jean,who finally passed his license,flies to her rescue.
