The Godson (1952)

In the last days of the Balkan Wars, the artistic and sweet-voiced Athenian, Vivika Zacharouli, sends a photo of herself to her unknown and illiterate "godson", Manthos Kortasis, who fights in the front. However, the beautiful woman catches the eye of Manthos' brother-in-arms, the handsome but philandering architect, Petros Charmidis, who, knowing that his gullible friend cannot read or write, starts composing passionate love letters, posing as Manthos. Then, on their first leave, Manthos asks Petros to take his place and meet charming Vivika in her house, unbeknownst to him that a series of shameless fabrications in the name of love will further complicate matters. What happens if Petros' spirited fiancée, Kiki, visits her best friend, Vivika?
