When her parents Sandra and Klaus get divorced, Pia Franke discovers that Klaus was not her genetic father, just her brother Jan's. Deeply disappointed, Pia asks her mother who her real father was, and Sandra tells her that he was Sean O'Hara, an Irish singer she fell in love with but who didn't stay with her for long. Without letting her mother know, Pia escapes from hometown Hamburg, Germany to Galway, Ireland, where she wants to look for Sean. When Sandra finds out, she and Jan follow Pia to Ireland. Both Pia and Sandra fall in love there, and the men they fall for will change their lives forever.
