In 1964, to commemorate fifty years of Greek cinema, the famous Greek director, Klearhos Konitsiotis pieced together rare excerpts from the first Greek films and journals, after his painstaking efforts to locate, clean, and restore them. The documentary features extracts from the following restored films: Promithefs desmotis (1927), Michael Doesn't Have Any Change (1924), Maria Pentagiotissa (1927), The Wedding of Concetta and Mihail (1926), The Wizard of Athens (1931), Villar at the Women's Baths in Faliro (1922), Astero (1929), and Daphnis and Chloe (1931). In addition, it captures the maiden appearances on cinema of actors, Stavros Iatridis, Giannis Sparidis, Kostas Doukas, Orestis Makris, and actress, Lela Patrikiou.
