A Knight for Vasoula (1968)

Withdrawn into solitude in her palatial mansion, the noble and affluent widow, Madame Clio, shares her fantasy of an idealised bygone time with her close confidante and graceful companion, Vasoula. Enjoying the lady's absolute trust and a vacant manor during one of Clio's rare trips, Vasoula will soon see her orderly life turn upside down, as an unexpected sojourn from a visiting couple--the good friend, Popi, and her beau, Mitsos--ends up in one big misunderstanding. As a result, an intricate fabrication and a handsome inheritance will shuffle the cards, as an unforeseen but very welcome complication entangles everyone in love's sweet torment.
