An Icelandic farmer's son has to move from his home during the depression. He leaves his girlfriend, friends, dog and horse, to start a new life elsewhere. Set in the crisis years, it describes tension between the farms and cities. This is the story of Iceland in recent decades when the age-old farming community was changing into townships. This film is also about emotional characters who take on centuries of painful time, to survive in the community without too many words. The film is based on a novel Indriði G. Thorsteinsson.
