The Big Trail (1930)

A man is left to die to freeze to death and another is stabbed shortly after.

A man is shot in the back.

Damn is used at least once by John Wayne.

The entire movie contains a series of struggles. As the characters cross the big trail they are forced to cross a heavy flowing river, a dry and scorching desert and a dangerous snowstorms and many other perilous situations. Some die, including animals and children and some viewers may be offended.
