Courtin' Wildcats (1929)

College student Clarence Butts (Hoot Gibson) pretends to be sickly in order to avoid working in a foundry owned by his father, Everett Butts ('Joseph W. Girard' qv)). Mr. Butts has a doctor ('James Farley') give Clarence a thorough physical, and the doctor reports that Clarence has been faking but that he needs hard work to build him up. He arranges for Clarence to work at a Wild West Show for the summer. There, Clarence falls for Calamity Jane (Eugenia Gilbert),the show's sharpshooter. She is a man-hater, but Clarence vows he will have her eating oats out of his hands before the summer is over.
