A PETA eyewitness visited Bowmanville Zoo in Canada, where owner of the zoo named Michael Hackenberger was caught on camera abusing a tiger named Uno, by whipping him approximately 20 times in a row while training him. He used to describe his whip as a "disincentive", and explained that punishment was the only way to force animals to perform. Hackenberger was known as an animal trainer and wrangler for TV and movie productions, such as "Life of Pi".
