Hidden Empire: Udham Singh (1996)

First of six drama documentaries about courageous individuals fighting for their convictions against a backdrop of colonial power. The Equalizer. A young boy survives the Amritsar Massacre of 1919, in which troops under British command kill hundreds of Indian demonstrators. He vows revenge and for twenty years patiently tracks down those responsible, waiting for a time when they will all be together. In March he gets his chance, in Caxton Hall in London. But can the dapper Udham Singh really pull the trigger?
