Dolly is nearing her 15th birthday. She's funny, mischievous and passionate about dancing, but she wasn't always like this. Her life had been forced down a much darker path, when at the age of 12 she was attacked with acid. Her face and parts of her body were permanently scarred. She thought that she would spend the rest of her life at her family home and behind a veil, too self-conscious to show her face in public. Her mother reached out to a small cafe called 'Sheroes Hangout', which is run by other acid attack survivors. With their help and guidance, Dolly has found the energy and determination to enjoy her life again, and the courage to chase her dreams. Her family and friends at Sheroes, reflect on a changing society that is waking up to the atrocities of acid attacks and beginning to fight them with new laws and harsher sentences. Survivors turned fighters, who have realized the power of their inner beauty, speak out and fight for others who have been ostracized and left with little hope. Inspiring and encouraging not only acid attack survivors but people from all walks of life.
