Dawn's life is going down in flames: her job sucks, grades are slipping and on top of it all, Dawn's surfer-boyfriend breaks up with her for no good reason. Determined to bring the fella back, Dawn ventures out to the beach in the middle of October to learn the craft of "catching a wave" and see what all the hurricane-season fuss is all about.
