Edward Couvillier builds exquisitely made cypress boats. But he doesn't use any blueprints or plans. Not even a sketch. Instead, in perfect proportions, he visualizes an extraordinarily complex three-dimensional image of the vessel in which every fine line, every sweeping contour, each tight angle, is built exactly from the mind of its maker.
