The Diabetic You (2020)

The Diabetic You is the story of both type 1 and type 2 diabetics. The film will tell the stories of both the young and old as they try and cope with this condition and inspire others to live their best lives. With almost 400 million people worldwide living with diabetes, Charles states, "I never wanted to create a film on diabetes, but I had no choice. This is what is needed. If we don't do something now, when will this slow down? The numbers will continue to grow and the lives will continue to be lost. This is about the ones we love and trying to let them stay alive." The film takes Charles from the amazing land of India to the ghettos in Jamaica to see the cause and effect of what diabetes has done to the people and their families who must cope while living with diabetes. Charles sits with some of the best doctors in the world and takes us first-hand into seeing the success stories and the tragedies. This film will change the way we look at diabetes and the big businesses that profit from the poor health choices made every day by many who are either on their way to or have already been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
