The conditions in Iran after the revolution had progressively grown worse in areas of women's rights and civil liberties. Rather than live under these conditions, Mehrangiz Kar, a lawyer, decided to challenge the court and push for reform. She has become an outspoken critic of the government, in the courtroom and through her writings. This half-hour film, 'Daughters of the Revolution' is about Mehrangiz Kar and what she risked for human rights in Iran the consequences of political events and the decisions that changed her life. It is the story of one woman's struggle and what she risked for freedom and ultimately happiness. 'Daughters of the Revolution' is a timely film revealing the life of a woman caught in political turmoil.
