The 19 worn-down and well-aged shacks that sit, surrounded by sand, at the edge of the continent have inspired artists for nearly a century. Today, sculptor Romolo Del Deo uses his basic refuge as a membrane allowing some of nature to enter his seasonal home/studio. Here beauty surfaces where life is always on the verge of annihilation.
