Thomas Gideon has the heart of an artist, but he has the life of a cog, turning endlessly through days of a hostile marriage and a thankless, stalled career. Then, just as it appears things are going to get better, things get much, much worse. What is a man to do when everything he believes is a lie, when everything he has set his hopes upon disintegrates before his very eyes? This is the story of a man struggling to find his voice and his place in the world, and if he doesn't watch his step, finding himself may just cost him everything.
