Miss Communication (2021)

Odette (Odi) Spencer LOVES being the centre of attention. Unfortunately, she never quite gets the fame she thinks she deserves. It doesn't help that her best friend, Liza, has thousands of followers on social media and she doesn't. Fed up with being second best, Odi discovers the perfect opportunity to get noticed: a terrorist attack. Armed with a phone and surprisingly good acting skills, Odi fakes being a hostage of an attack at the grocery store near her house via social media. Everyone will HAVE to sympathise with her. Stardom is now within her grasp. As fate would have it, however, her 15 minutes of fame ends much sooner than she expects and her plan fails. Frustrated but not willing to give up, Odi decides her best step forward is to actually become a hostage. Sneaking past police and crawling through bushes, she finds herself exactly where she wants to be. Will her plan for celebrity succeed or will her vanity-driven meddling result in disaster?
