Cammy (2021)

Cammy is convinced she has a serious illness - but can not get anyone -- her mother, her doctor, her husband -- to believe her. Viewed as a slightly neurotic woman, everyone thinks the real problem is that she found out her husband cheated on her with one of her dance students and instead of dealing with that head-on, is deflecting to a growing list of rare diagnoses. Exiting a frustrating doctor appointment, she happens to run right into her husband's ex-mistress; but instead of confronting her, Cammy discovers the young woman has herself just been diagnosed with a debilitating illness - and that her own husband has come to accompany his former paramour to her appointment. Furious, Cammy storms out, followed by her husband, and the two have a full-on confrontation about his lack of belief in Cammy's illness but support of his ex-lover's. Desperate to make amends, her husband pledges his faith to Cammy - but only if she finally lets go of her supposed illness. Feeling no other choice, Cammy acquiesces. Picking up their two young daughters from nursery school, Cammy basks in the unconditional love she receives - until something overcomes her that changes everything.
